TICKLED PINK - It's a girl!

Today, July 22, 2011, we found out that our precious little bundle of joy is going to be a GIRL!!!!!  We had 15 of our closest family members to support us on this important day, and the event couldn't have been more perfect.  Daddy Metcalf is smiling from Ear to Ear just thinking about "PIGTAILS!"  We are thrilled to fill the house with ribbons and bows, and can't wait until she comes into our lives!  We went to eat at Chili's with Mamaw Wanda, Joyce, Mom, Grandma, Josh, Holly, Kelly, and Syler.  We were so excited we could barely eat, let's just say we were TICKLED PINK!!!  When we arrived at our house, we found a HUGE pink teddy bear from the Beam/Watsons congratulating us on our precious little girl, it made me cry knowing such wonderful people were thinking about us during this precious time!!!!

FIRST KICK!!!

Today I felt the baby kick for the first time at 16 weeks, and it felt like a twitch in my stomach.  We are so excited to know that our precious little bundle of joy is active and well.  We find out in two weeks what the baby will be, and we CAN'T WAIT!

Love at first sight!!! 11 weeks and counting!!!

We saw our little munchkin on screen and instantly fell in love, we are blessed to have such an amazing gift from God.  The doctor said everything is moving right along, and the heartbeat was 182 bpm, and crown to rump length was 7.7 cm, which was within normal range!  Cletus the fetus (in Lori's terms, ha ha) was turning flips, which means he/she is already like his/her Uncle Bobby!  We are now 11 weeks along, and Cletus is the size of a plum crown to rump length.  He/she is beginning to touch its face and all of the vital organs have formed, but will grow as time goes along.  Next step, we will get the amniocentesis, and in about 7 WEEKS, we will know what we are having!  Can't wait until we can hold the bundle of joy!!!  God is so good!

Well, it's official, we are having a baby!!

We went today to the doctor, and we were very excited, just a little pale!  Kyle was very surprised, but excited at the same time.  As of now, our due date is Christmas day, what a precious Christmas gift that would be. We are ready for phase 2, we go May 12th to see the little booger on screen!  Can't wait!
